Cypress Hill

Cypress Hill started out as DVX (Devastating Vocal Excellence), but changed their name when original member Method Man Ace (b. Ulpiano Sergio Reyes) quit for a solo career. The name Cypress Hill comes from a street (Cypress Avenue, where Sen Dog had lived) in South Central Los Angeles. The member’s nicknames are Sen Dog (b. Senen Reyes, Method Man Ace’s older brother), B-Real (b. Louis Freese), Muggs (b. Lawrence Muggerud).
